When: This is a flexible volunteer role that can be tailored around your availability. It is an estimated time commitment of 2 – 3 hours per week.Â

About the project: What’s on Dunoon is a website being developed by Dunoon Community Development Trust. The main goal of the site is to make local information about events and happenings accessible to local people and visitors by having information in one place. Â
Volunteer role: To work with the What’s On Dunoon Team to promote the website to members of the community, including to voluntary organisations who host events.
Requirements: Some basic computer skills such as writing an email. Being familiar with platforms such as Facebook. Â
Helpful but not essential: an interest in communication and image editing. Equipment can be provided, but having access to your own laptop would be helpful.  Training for this role will be provided in 1 or 2 x 45 min sessions. These sessions will  take you through the process of creating and editing information for the site.  You will also have ongoing support from the Dunoon Community Development Trust team. Â
What you will get out of volunteering: Through this role you will be part of a small, friendly team working on projects to improve the health and wellbeing of the community through connecting people to information about events and activities in the local area.   Through this role you will become a local information expert, with an overview of events, venues and happenings taking place in the Dunoon area.  You will learn new skills around making information accessible and be provided with a range of opportunities to input into the development of the What’s On Dunoon site as a useful community resource.Â
