We are looking for friendly individuals who:


·      Are passionate about the local area and all the great things we can do here.

·      Enjoy meeting and talking to new people.

·      Would like to help gather relevant information and share it with members of the public.


The Gatehouse will also be a shared space with the Dunoon Bothy Project and its programme of led walks and cycles


Volunteer role: 

·      Meeting and welcoming members of the public who come into the Gatehouse.

·      Providing people with information – verbal, written and electronic.  

·      Helping research and collect relevant information, to be stored both online and as hard copies.

·      Providing information about and promoting our What’s on Dunoon website.

·      Adding information to our What’s On Dunoon website.

·      Promoting and explaining the Dunoon Forward app, and helping people download it to their devices.


Requirements: An enthusiasm for Dunoon and the local community, as well as an interest in meeting and chatting with new people. Basic IT skills.


What you will get out of volunteering: Through this role you will be part of a small, friendly team working to improve the health and wellbeing of the community by connecting people to information about events, activities, and facilities in and around Dunoon. You will become a local information expert and help visitors to have a positive experience when visiting the town.
