Beach Clean Lead Volunteer

Volunteer Role

You will:

·       Complete Marine Beach Conservation Society’s Beach Clean Organiser Training (online).

·       Help organise and promote beach cleaning events.

·       Communicate with DCDT’s Volunteering for Wellbeing Co-ordinator.

·       Take out, set up, and store equipment (includes some manual lifting of heavier items).

·       Brief volunteers on health and safety.

·       Organise paperwork and consent forms.

·       Take items to local recycling centre.

·       Take some photos.

Role Requirements

We are looking for someone who:

·       Respects the natural environment.

·       Is confident with communicating with others and public speaking.

·       Has a willingness to undertake further training and skills learning.

·       Enjoys meeting new people.

·       Will follow DCDT’s volunteering policies, including our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy.

·       Has basic IT skills.

·       Preferably (but not essential) has a driving licence and access to a car.
