Save the date for Dunoon Film Festival, 2026 8-10 May

Dunoon Community Development Trust is delighted to announce that we have secured two years of funding for Dunoon Film Festival from Screen Scotland and Creative Scotland. The festival, which is a partnership between the Trust and Screen Argyll, aims to bring people together in our community through film screenings, talks and creative workshops.
This year’s festival will take place from Friday 8th May to Sunday 10th May 2026. There will be a fun and foodie theme. Importantly, the festival will support two key cultural venues in the town - the Studio Cinema and Dunoon Burgh Hall. Other smaller, community run venues will also be involved in film screenings.
“We want to nurture film and film making in our community as a way of bringing people together to discuss issues, learn new skills and have fun,”
says Ann Campbell, Dunoon Film Festival Director and Partnership Manager at Dunoon Community Development Trust.
“If you are a film maker, animator or simply have a passion for film, please get in touch. We are keen to work with people over the next two years to develop Dunoon Film Festival as a platform for local filmmakers, while supporting key cultural venues”
In the lead-up to this year’s festival we will continue to screen selected films at the Studio Cinema.

Volunteer at Dunoon Film Festival 2026
