Shops and businesses within Dunoon and Kirn bring so many benefits to the local area, creating employment, providing accessible services, giving us places to go a meet friends for a coffee or buy a gift for a family member. But what does the future of our local high streets hold? What would make shopping and doing business in Dunoon an even better experience for local people and visitors.
As part of our ongoing work to develop a Local Place Plan, Dunoon Community Development Trust (DCDT) is looking to recruit people with a stake in the local business community to contribute to workshops and research relating to the future of local shops and enterprise development here in Dunoon and Kirn.
Information from these discussions, and from research that you will be asked to do with your own local networks, will help inform the Local Place Plan.
A Local Place Plan is a development plan informed by the community. A Local Place Plan supports thinking around the use of land and building assets and can inform how investment into the area is prioritised. You can find out more about Local Place Plans here>
