  • What’s On Dunoon: Website promotor 


  • Where: In and around Dunoon  


  • When: This is a flexible volunteer role that can be tailored around your availability. It is an estimated time commitment of 2 – 3 hours a week.  


  • About the project: What’s on Dunoon is a website being developed by Dunoon Community Development Trust. The main goal of the site is to make local information about events and happenings accessible to local people and visitors by having information in one place. 


  • Volunteer role:  To work with the Dunoon Community Development Trust Team to promote and recruit users to the What’s On Dunoon website from across the community Share information about the What’s On Dunoon site at events Promote the What’s On Dunoon site as a community resource to local people and visitors by meeting people and calling into local businesses to share information and gather feed back. 


  • Requirements: An interest in meeting and talking to people. An enthusiasm for Dunoon and the local community. All equipment and travel costs will be provided. 


  • Helpful but not essential: an interest in communication and passing on skills. 


  • What you will get out of volunteering: Through this role you will be part of a small, friendly team working on projects to improve the health and wellbeing of the community through connecting people to information about events and activities in the local area.   You will become a local information expert, with an overview of events, venues and happenings taking place in the Dunoon area. You will be out and about the town meeting people, showing groups the site and talking to people about Dunoon and this project.
